Upcoming Reunions 

2009 Post World War II Reunion in Chattanooga, Tenn.

The next SUNY Cortland Post WWII Reunion, the scenic and historic city of Chattanooga, Tennessee was selected. Hotel arrangements have been made for the Chattanooga Choo Choo, from Wednesday-Sunday on Sept. 30 – Oct. 4, 2009. The Choo Choo is listed on the National Register for Historic Preservation and is located in an historic train station. Rooms are priced at $89 per night, one to four persons, and can be reserved by calling the Chattanooga Choo Choo Holiday Inn at (800) 872-2529 or (423) 266-5000. Ask for the Cortland State WWII Reunion block. You will receive September’s Chattanooga Reunion Registration information in the spring, but you may make early reservations at the hotel now, if desired. Past Reunions

2009 Las Vegas Reunion in Las Vegas, NV

On Feb. 20-22 a Regional Reunion was held in Las Vegas, Nev. at the New York, New York Hotel and Casino. Terry Allen ’78 and Patricia Ignagni Allen ’78 hosted 37 alumni, family and friends at their home for a welcoming cocktail party which featured special guest impersonator Elvis Presley. Paul Terry ’75 of “Fab Four Live” helped alumni “relive the days of Beatlemania” by providing them with discounted tickets to an electrifying performance that portrayed how one of the greatest bands of all time revolutionized the face of music forever. Alumni also had the chance to get out on the golf course and meet President Erik J. Bitterbaum at the reunion banquet.

2009 Florida Reunions

On March 6, Gloria Quadrini ’59 hosted a cocktail reception at her Jupiter, Florida home for 46 alumni and friends. Alumni enjoyed mixed drinks and Italian hors d’oeuvres provided by Gloria. President Erik J. Bitterbaum along with special guest Assistant Professor emeritus, Physical Education Robert Wallace ’53 were at the event to greet alumni. Look to attend this event next year.

On March 7, James Cranfield ’61 and his wife, Susan, hosted 34 golfers at the Waterford Golf Club in Venice, Fla., for the 2009 West Coast Florida Reunion. Special guest Robert Wallace ’53 greeted alumni and their families. Golfers competed for a variety of SUNY Cortland prizes and joined 88 alumni and friends for dinner at the club after the tournament. President Erik J. Bitterbaum presented a SUNY Cortland update after dinner.

2008 Post World War II Reunion in Branson, Mo

Thirty alumni, family and friends gathered for the 10th Post-World War II Reunion on Sept. 24-27, 2008, in Branson, Mo. The reunion activities included attending spectacular shows and acts by Any Williams, Yakov Smirinoff, Shoji Tabuchi and the Presley's Country Jubilee. Alumni also enjoyed other activities such as the Showboat Branson Belle, Ride the Duck Tours and sampled some fine cuisine at the College of the Ozarks. Join them next year as they plan the 11th Post World War II Reunion in Chattanooga, Tenn.
